<br />CC <br />ITYOUNCIL <br />City Council Minutes <br />Regular Meeting of December 17, 2001 <br />The City Council met on the above date with the following members <br />6:36 p.m. Roll Call <br />present (voting order): Goedeke, Maschka, Klausing, Mastel and <br />Kysylyczyn. Absent: none. <br />Mayor Kysylyczyn acknowledged Boy Scout Troop 186 and other <br />Agenda Change <br />dignitaries. <br />Without objection, Kysylyczyn moved to Item G-1, Recognition of <br />Council Members Goedeke and Mastel. <br />Council Members Goedeke and Mastel were recognized for their <br />G-1 <br />many years of service to the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />John Rhody, Chair of the Planning Commission, presented a <br />Proclamation to Goedeke from the Commission that noted <br /> <br />Goedeke?s many contributions to the planning of Roseville. <br /> <br />Gale Pederson, Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission, <br />presented a Proclamation to Mastel from the Commission noting <br /> <br />Mastel?s many contributions to the parks and recreation system <br />in Roseville. <br /> <br />Beets read the City Council?s Proclamation honoring Goedeke <br /> <br />and Mastel, and he presented them with the Roseville Rose. <br /> <br />Chris Kluth and Lindsay Capeder, daughter and granddaughter <br />of Mastel, spoke about their love and respect for Mastel. <br /> <br />Donn Wiski, former Council Member, spoke of his public service <br />with Goedeke and Mastel. <br /> <br />Maschka acknowledged the leadership of Goedeke and Mastel <br /> <br />and their contributions to youth and youth activities. <br /> <br />Klausing noted the great sense of community in Roseville and his <br />appreciation of the leadership provided by Goedeke and Mastel <br /> <br />in achieving that. <br /> <br />Kysylyczyn noted Mastel?s work on regulating charitable <br />gambling and alcohol, and Goedeke?s sense of humor and <br /> <br />historical perspective. <br /> <br />Mastel noted her debt of gratitude to all her colleagues, <br />acknowledged her children and grandchildren, and her love for <br /> <br />her family and the City of Roseville. <br /> <br />Goedeke noted his debt of gratitude to friends, family, colleagues <br />and staff, and his love for all residents of Roseville, young and <br />old. <br />Recess <br />The City Council recessed for five minutes. <br />A.Communications and Public Comment <br />A-1Donn Wiski, former Council Member, spoke about the 33- <br />member Transportation Advisory Board, of which he is one of <br /> <br />
