<br />City of Roseville <br />ORDINANCE No. 1313 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2 OF THE ROSEVILLE <br />CITY CODE, CHANGING SECTIONS 201.03, 204.04, 205.01, and <br />205.04 THEREOF RELATING TO THE SIZE OF THE HUMAN <br />RIGHTS COMMISSION, THE LENGTH OF TERMS ON THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION, AND THE NAME AND MISSION <br />OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMIS- <br />SION. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />Section 1. Section 204.04 of the City Code, pertaining to the <br />Roseville Human Rights Commission, is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />204.04: MEMBERSHIP; TERMS AND REMOVAL: <br />A. Membership: The commission shall consist of seven (7) mem- <br />bers/ to be appointed by the City Council. Members of the commis- <br />sion shall be appointed with due regard to their fitness for the effi- <br />cient dispatch of the functions, powers and duties vested in and im- <br />posed upon the commission. In addition to the members appointed <br />above, the City Council may for one year terms appoint additional <br />residents of the city under twenty one (21) years of age to serve as (ex <br />officio) members of the human rights commission. <br />B. Terms: The first commission shall consist of four (4) members ap- <br />pointed for a term of three (3) years, three (3) members fora term of <br />two (2) years, and three (3) members for a term of one year. Members <br />of the commission shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years, ex- <br />cept that any person appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to the <br />expiration of the term for which such member's predecessor was ap- <br />pointed/ shall be appointed only for the remainder of such term. <br />Upon the expiration of such member's term of office, a member shall <br />continue to serve until such member's successor is appointed and <br />shall have qualified. <br />C. Compensation; Removal: The members of the commission shall <br />serve without compensation, and may be removed from office by a <br />four-fifths (4/5) vote of the City Council. <br /> <br />1 <br />
