<br />*** <br /> <br />205.04: DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: <br />The duties and functions of the commission shall be as follows: <br />A. Serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council, city manager <br />and director of public works on public works, environmental, and <br />transportation matters. <br />B. Maintain an interest in and an understanding of the functions and <br />operations of the public works department. <br />C. Maintain an interest in and an understanding of federal, state, <br />county,"regional and other public works, environmental, and trans- <br />portation services that impact city services. <br />D. Perform other duties and functions or conduct studies and inves- <br />tigations as specifically directed or delegated by the city. <br /> <br />Section 4. Effective Date. Except for section 2, all provisions <br />of this ordinance amendment to the City Code shall take effect upon <br />the passage and publication of this ordinance. Section 2 of this Ordi- <br />nance shall take effect upon the passage and publication of this ordi- <br />nance as to commission members appointed or reappointed after the <br />passage and publication of this ordinance; however, the current term <br />of planning commission members serving as of the date this ordi- <br />nance is enacted shall not be affected by this ordinance. <br /> <br />Passed this 6th day of December, 2004. <br /> <br />3 <br />
