<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 12th day of November, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8723 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A RECYCLING FEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is dedicated to providing residential <br />curbside recycling; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, funding for the collection of recyclables has been provided <br />by Ramsey County with SCORE and LRDG Grants, and a waste management <br />surcharge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has instructed cities to develop a method for <br />funding recycling programs beginning January 1, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has enacted Ordinance No. 1098, which <br />authorizes the Council to establish a fee for the collection of <br />curbside recyclables; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council of the City of <br />Roseville does hereby establish a recycling fee of $1.40 per household <br />per month, which shall be paid by all single family, duplex, triplex, <br />fourplex, and town house unit properties in the city of Roseville <br />commencing January 1, 1992; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager shall include this fee <br />on the City's quarterly utility statements. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Thomas, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, <br />and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
