EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of November, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Cushman, Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, and Rog, and the following were absent: None. Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8723 RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH A RECYCLING FEE WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is dedicated to providing residential curbside recycling; and WHEREAS, funding for the collection of recyclables has been provided by Ramsey County with SCORE and LRDG Grants, and a waste management surcharge; and WHEREAS, Ramsey County has instructed cities to develop a method for funding recycling programs beginning January 1, 1992; and WHEREAS, the City Council has enacted Ordinance No. 1098, which authorizes the Council to establish a fee for the collection of curbside recyclables; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city Council of the City of Roseville does hereby establish a recycling fee of $1.40 per household per month, which shall be paid by all single family, duplex, triplex, fourplex, and town house unit properties in the city of Roseville commencing January 1, 1992; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager shall include this fee on the City's quarterly utility statements. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Thomas, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Thomas, Johnson, Maschka, and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
