<br />93.040. Term of Permit. Permit shall be granted for <br />the period of one (1) year and may be renewed annually. <br /> <br />93.050. Requirements for Permit. No permit shall be <br />granted unless the following requirements are met: <br /> <br />(1) The applicant must demonstrate that he is a <br />physically handicapped person as defined in <br />Minnesota Statute Section 169.345, Subd. 2. <br /> <br />(2) The applicant must submit a certificate <br />signed by a physician that the applicant is <br />able to safely operate a motorized golf cart <br />or all terrain vehicle on the roadway desig- <br />nated. <br /> <br />(3) The applicant must provide evidence of insur- <br />ance in compliance with the provisions of <br />Minnesota Statute Section 65B.48, Subd. 5. <br /> <br />93.060. Conditions of Permit. The Chief of Police <br />shall designate the following conditions for operation <br />of the motorized golf cart or all terrain vehicle: <br /> <br />(1) The roadways or portions thereof upon which <br />motorized golf carts or all terrain vehicles <br />will be permitted to operate. <br /> <br />(2) The hours of operation on designated roadways. <br />In no event shall motorized golf carts or <br />all terrain vehicles be operated on desig- <br />nated roadways for any hours greater than <br />sunrise to sunset, in inclement weather or <br />when visibility is impaired by weather, <br />smoke, fog or any other reason. <br /> <br />(3) Any other restrictions imposed in the inter- <br />ests of public safety. <br /> <br />93.070. Slow Moving Vehicle Emblem. Motorized golf <br />carts or all terrain vehicles shall display the slow <br />moving vehicle emblem provided for in Minnesota Statute <br />Section l69.522 when operated on designated roadways. <br /> <br />93.080. Application of Traffic Laws. Every person <br />operating a motorized golf cart or all terrain vehicle <br />under permit on designated roadways has all rights and <br />duties applicable to the driver of any vehicle under <br />the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Chapter 169, ex- <br />cept when those provisions cannot reasonably be applied <br />to motorized golf carts or all terrain vehicles and <br />except an otherwise specifically provided in Minnesota <br />statute Section 169.045, Subd. 7. <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
