<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1011 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 252.170 OF THE CITY CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ADDING ONE-HALF DAY ON CHRISTMAS EVE DAY AS <br />A HOLIDAY. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordai n: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 252.170 of the City Code is amended to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />252.170 Official Holidays. The following shall <br />be the official holidays for all employees subject to <br />this ordinance: New Year's Day, January 1; Martin <br />Luther King, Jr., Birthday, the third Monday in <br />January; President's Day, the third Monday in February; <br />Memorial Day, the last Monday in May; Independence Day, <br />July 4; Labor Day, the first Monday in September; <br />Veterans Day, November 11; Thanksgiving Day, the fourth <br />Thursday in November; Post-Thanksgiving Day, the day <br />following Thanksgiving Day; One-half (1/2) day <br />(afternoon) Christmas Eve Day, December 24; Christmas <br />Day, December 25; and one (1) Floating Holiday <br />annually, to be designated by the Manager. When New <br />Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day or <br />Christmas Day fall on a Sunday, the following day shall <br />be a holiday. When New Year's Day, Independence Day, <br />Veteran's Day, or Christmas Day fall on a Saturday, the <br />preceding day shall be a holiday. When Christmas Eve <br />Day falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the one-half (1/2) <br />day will be taken on the preceding Friday afternoon. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> <br />after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Roseville this 14th <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />March <br /> <br />, 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CZ~d~~ <br /> <br />~~ LY lVlanager <br />
