<br />CI TY OF' ROSEVI LL E <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 1043 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 'rHE CITY CODE OF THE CI'I'Y OF <br />ROSEVILLE, BY PROVIDING CERTAIN HIRING PRACTICES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br /> <br />does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville is <br /> <br />amended by adding Section 254.095. <br /> <br />Section 254.095. Employment Hiring Practices. <br />The City Manager shall select candidates for <br />employment for the City of Roseville based <br />solely on ability of the candidate, <br />consistent with the best interests of the <br />City. The City Manager shall not <br />discriminate against any candidate for <br />possible employment by reason of race, color, <br />creed, religion, national origin, sex, <br />marital status, status with regard to public <br />assistance, membership or activity in a local <br />commission, disabilty, or age, or shall not <br />discriminate based upon the candidate's <br />relationship with other employees of the <br />Ci ty . <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br /> <br />and after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> <br />this 8th day of August <br /> <br />, 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEs'r: <br /> <br />9~A'7Ih? d ~ <br /> <br />M&,ager <br />
