<br />r . ,038 <br />t'-OR.o/;V~NCE~.//O, A/e,'p~/ f~ZI!l6re-,z~ <br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING O:F GASOLIml FIttING STATIONS AND PROVIDING <br />PENALTY T.t1l!idIOL <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville do ordain as follows: <br /> <br />SJIlO!ION 1 <br /> <br />No person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of keeping, maintain- <br />ing or operating any gasoline filling station in the Village of Roseville without first <br />obtaining a license therefor from the Co.uncil of the Village of Roseville and paying <br />a license fee as hereinafter provid.ed. lor the purpose of this ordinance, a gasoline <br />filling station is hereby defined to be any place, building, pump or device maintained <br />and used for the main purpose of selling or dispensing gasoline or other oils for use <br />in motor vehicles of any kind. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />Any person d.es1ring a license to operate a gasoline filling station shall make <br />his application in writing to the Village Council by filing said application with the <br />Village Clerk. The following information shall be set forth in: the application. <br /> <br />1. The name and place of resid.ence of the applicant. <br /> <br />2. The location of the premises upon which the filling station will be located.. <br /> <br />3. The number of pumps used for dispensing gasoline 01'~'other oils. <br /> <br />4. The exact location of the pumps and the exact location and 81.. of the tanks <br />in which the gasoline or other oils are to be stored. <br /> <br />.5. The location and. size of the driveways leading to the pumps. <br /> <br />SECTION :3 <br /> <br />, <br />The applicant shall deposit with the Village Clerk at the time of filil1l; his ap- <br />plication the sum of Ten Dollars and Five Dollars additional for each pump more than <br />one a.t such station. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />The Council shall direct such investigation of said. application as it may d.eem nec- <br />essary and the applicant shall permit persons of any Village Department to inspect and <br />examine the place of business described in the application together with all appliances <br />and instruments used or to be used in ,aid business for which a license is sought and <br />upon receipt of such report, Council shall thereafter consid.er the application and <br />grant or deny the same. ' <br /> <br />SECTION 5 <br /> <br />Licenses herein provided. for shall expire on July first of each year after the <br />elate of issuance. <br />
