<br />63 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 126 <br /> <br />AN ORDINaNCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 100 ENTITLED: <br /> <br />"An Ordinanoe Providing for All Matters Conoerning, Regulating, or Affeoting <br />the CQnstnuotion, Alteration, Regulation, Repair and Inspeotion of all Buildings, <br />Walks, Struotures Ereoted or to be Ereoted in the Village of Roseville for the Pro- <br />tection of Property against Fire, and for the Purpose of Seouring Healthful, Safe <br />and Sanitary Environment for the Oooupants of Buildings Used for Human Habitation <br />or Otherwise; to Prohibit the Unlawful Use or Ocoupanoy of all Buildings, walls, <br />or Struotures and Providing Penalties for the Violation Thereof," as amended. <br /> <br />The Vi llage Counoil of Roseville Ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION I <br /> <br />That Ordinanoe No. 100 entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance Providing for All Matters Concerning, Regulating, or Affeoting <br />the Construction, Alteration, Regulation, Repair and Inspeotion of all Buildings, <br />Walks, Structures Erected or to be Erected in the Village of Roseville for the <br />Protection of Property against Fire, and for the Purpose of Seouring Healthful, <br />Safe and Sanitary Enviromnent for the Occupants of Buildings Used for Human Habita- <br />tion or Otherwise; to Prohibit the Unlawful Use or Ocoupanoy of all Buildings, <br />Wa lls, or Struotures and Providing Penalties for the Violation Thereof," as amended <br />be amended by striking therefran Paragraph 4-4 and inserting in lieu thereof the <br />following: <br />4-4. Masonry basement walls for buildings shall not be less than 12 ila.ches in <br />thickness. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />That said Ordinanoe No. 100 be further &mended by striking therefrom paragraph <br />4-5 and inserting in lieu thereof the following: <br /> <br />4-5. Except where a oement slab is used, every. dwelling house hereafter <br />ereoted shall either have a basenent or an excavated spaoe under the entire first <br />floor at least 3 feet in depth, or suoh building shall be elevated above the ground <br />so that there will be a olear air spaoe of at least 2 teet between the top of the <br />ground and the bottom of the floor joist. Suoh spaoe shall in all oases be en- <br />olosed but' provided with ample ventilation and properly drained. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />That said Ordinance No. 100 be further amended by striking therefrom paragraph <br />4-48 and inserting therein the following: <br />4-48. A minimum height of 8 feet will be required for the first floor, a <br />minimum height of 7 feet will be required for a basement, and a minimum height of <br />7 feet 6 inches will be aoceptable on any: other floor level. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />That said Ordinance No. 100 be further amended by striking therefrom paragraph <br />4-56 and inserting therein the following: <br />
