<br />75 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 135 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REGUIATING THE OBSTRUCTION OF ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, ALLEY OR OTHER <br />PUBLIC PROPERTY IN THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE. <br /> <br />The Village Counoil of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, partnership or oor- <br />poration other than the Village of Roseville to in any manner obstruot any publio <br />street, sidewalk, alley, ditoh or other public property within the Village of <br />Roseville or to build, place or maintain any building in whole or in part upon any <br />public street, alley, sidewalk or other publio ground within said Village without <br />first obtaining a permit to do so from the Village Council. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />Any person, firm, partnership or corporation desiring a permit as required by <br />Paragraph 1 hereof shall make applioation in writing to the Village Council, setting; <br />forth the :name of the applicant, the nature of the obstruction to be plaoed or main- <br />tained, and the length of time the proposed obstruotion will exist. Upon applioa- <br />tion being filed, the Counoil may grant or deny the same. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />Any person granted a permit pursuant to this Ordinance shall keep said obstruction <br />or obstructions properly guarded at all times and from sunset to sunrise shall keep <br />them guarded by a sufficient number of clear red lanterns placed in such position <br />that they will give proper warning of such obstruction. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />Upon the termination of the obstruction, said property shall be plaoed in the <br />same condition which existed before the granting of a permit to obstruct the ~e <br />or if said obstruction existed prior to the issuanoe of said per.mit in a safe con- <br />dition satisfactory to the Council. <br /> <br />SEG TION 5 <br /> <br />Any permit issued under this Ordinance may be revolted by the Council at any <br />time. <br /> <br />SEC TION 6 <br /> <br />Any person violating any of the pronnons of this Ordinance shall be guilty <br />of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for a term not to exoeed 90 days or by <br />fine not to exceed $100. <br /> <br />SECTI01f1 7 <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage <br />and publication. <br /> <br />Passed by the Counoil this 19th day of Deoe.mber, 1950. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />(Seal) <br />A1;tost. ~....' <br />V1~ <br />--tr " elerk . <br />
