78 ORDINANCE NO. 138 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 105 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, ORDER, COMMERCE, PROPERTY MID GENERAL WELFARE BY PROVIDING FOR THE CLASSIFICATION, REGULATION AND RESTRICTION OF THE ERECTION OF TRADES AND INDUSTRIES MID OF BUILDINGS USED FOR HUMAN HABITATION !lID FOR SPECIFIED PURPOSES, REGULATING AND DETI!.'RMINING THE MINIMUM SIZE OF YARD AREAS, ESTABLISHING THE BREAKDOWN OF DISTRICTS FOR SAID PURPOSES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF" AS AMENDED. The Village Council of Roseville Ordains: SECTION I That Ordinance No. 105 as amended is hereby further amended by striking out the second paragraph of Section 10 entitled "Residence'!astricts "A", "B", and "C":" and inserting in lieu thereof the following: Residence Districts "A", "B", and "C": For every building hereafter erected, or structurally altered, there shall be provided a front yard of not less than thirty (30) feet in depth, and a side yard on each side of the building of not less than five (5) feet in width, provided that where a building is to be built so as to front upon a street other than the_ street upon which the lot fronts, the village council may gr~lt permission for such construction contrary to the provisions of this paragraph. If at the time this ordinance becomes effective, existing houses on fifty percent (50%) or more of the frontage of any block have a predominant front yard different from that herein specified, all buildings hereafter erected shall conf'orm to this predominant front yard depth, provided this regulation shall not be interpreted so as to require a front yard of more than forty (40) feet in depth.
