<br />81 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 140 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMEIIDING ORVINANCE NO. 100 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING <br />FOR ALL MATTERS CONCERNING, REGULATING, OR AFFECTING THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTF.R- <br />ATlON, REGULATION, REPAIR AND INSPECTION OF ALL BUILDINGS, WALKS, STRUCTURES <br />ERECTED OR TO BE ERECTED IN THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, FOR THE PROTECTION OF <br />PROPERTY AGAINST FIRE, AND Ii'OR THE PURPOSE OF SECURING HEALTHF~TL, SAFE AND <br />SAUITARY EN\TIRONMENT FOR THE OCCUPANTS OF BUILDINGS USED FOIl HUMAN HABITATION <br />OR OTHERWISE; TO PROHIBIT THE UNLAWFUL USE OR OCCUPANCY OF AJ..L BUILDINGS, WALLS <br />OR STRUCTURES AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF". <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION I <br /> <br />That Ordinance No. 100 entitled "An Ordinance Providing for All Matters <br />Concerning, Regulating, or Affecting the Construction, Alteration, Regulation, <br />Repair and Inspection of All Buildings, Walks, Struc~lre5 Erected or to be <br />Erected in the Village of Roseville for the Protection of Property Against Fire, <br />and for the Purpose of Securing Healthful, Safe and Sanitar:r Environment for the <br />Occupants of Buildings Used for Human Habitation or Otherwise; to Prohibit the <br />Unlawful Use or Occupancy of all Buildings, Walls, or Structures and Providing <br />Penalties for the Violation Thereof," as amended, be further mnended by inserting <br />therein the following section immediately after Section 4-13 thereof: <br /> <br />"4-13A All chimneys irrespective of which materials the. <br />walls are built shall have a flue of not less than 8" x 8" <br />where gas or oil are to be used, for heating purposes, and <br />not less than 8" x 12" where coal is to be used for heating <br />purposes." <br /> <br />SJOCTION II <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its <br />passage. <br /> <br />Approved April 17, 1952. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />(seal ) <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br /> <br />~ <br />
