COMlffiRCR, PROPERTY AND GENERAL <br />WELFARE I3Y PROVIDING THE CLASSIr'ICATION, REGULATION AND RESTRICTION OF THE <br />ER.ECTION OF TRADES AIm INDUSTRIES ANn OF :1UILDINGS USED POR HillMN HABITATION <br />AND FOR SPECIFIED PURPOSES REGULATIiJG MID DE':::'EFMINING THE HINIHUM SIZE OF <br />YARD-AREAS, ESTABLISHING TIm BREAK-DOWN OF DISTRICTS FOR SAID PURPOSES, ArID <br />PROVIDU1G PENALTIES FOR THE VICJ...ATI01J THEREOF, ADOPTED MAY 27, 1948" AS AMENDE!}: <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION ::::. <br /> <br />That the ordinanc~ entitled "An Ordinanee for the purpose of Promoting <br />the Public Health, Safety, Order, Cornmerce, Property and General Welfare b~r <br />Providing the Classification, Regulation and Restriction of the Erection of <br />Trades and Industries .:111d of Buildings Used for Human Irabi tation and for Speci- <br />fied Purposes Regulating and Determining the HiniPlUIn Size of Yard-Areas, <br />Establishing the Break-Down of Districts for Said Purposes, and Providing <br />Penalties for t~1e Violation Thereof, Adopt~d M1?Y 27, 1948", is hereb~r furtht"r <br />CL'lended by inserting in Section XII thereof the following paragraphs following <br />Paragraph (e): <br /> <br />n(e-l) There is hereby created a Board of Zoning which shall consist <br />of five (5) members and the village engineer. The nembers sh~ll be <br />appointed by the Village Council, and of the members first appointed, <br />one shall be appointed for the term of one year, one for the term of <br />two years, one for the term of three ~rears, one for the term of four <br />ye-ars, and one for the term of fi1Te years, said expiration dates to be <br />computed for the members first appointed from and after January 1, 19,3. <br />Both original and successive appoinf.ces shall hold their offices until <br />their successors are appointed and qualified. Vacancies during the term <br />shall be filled bJT the council for the unexpired term. Every aI=pointed <br />member shall, before entering upon the discharge of his c'ut.ies, i:,ake an <br />oath that he will faithfully discharge th~ duties of his office. All <br />members shall serve without compensation. The Board shall elect a <br />chairman from anong its appointed members for the terPl qf one year and <br />tne Board Pla.y create and fill such other offices as it ma;)T determine. <br />It shr>11 hold rlsetings upon the call of the chairnan or any two m~mbers, <br />and four memberf' shall be necessa!"J for a quorum. <br /> <br />(e-2) Upon the filing of any petition described in Paragraph e, .said <br />petition shall be referred to the Board of Zoning for its consideration <br />and report. Board of Zoning shall hold a public hearing thereon prior <br />to the time set for consideration of said petition b~T the council, and <br />shall notify, iT' such manner as the Board of Zoning shall designate, the <br />petitioner or petitioners and all known ownerE of property within two <br />hundred fifty feet of the property def;cribed in the petition, of the <br />time and place of said hearing. The Board of Zoning shall thereefter <br />transLit to the Village Council in writing its recommendations together <br />wi th the reasons therefor for consideration h~r the council, said re- <br />commendations to be submitted prior to the hearing required by Paragraph e <br /> <br />\ <br />
