<br />1 2 20RDINANCE NO. 157 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 142 ENTI~LRD "AN ORDINANCE REGULATING <br />AND PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF THE INSTALLATION ANn MAINTENANCE IN <br />BUILDING OF ELECTRIC WIRING, ELECTRIC DEVICES AND ELECTRIC MATERIAL CREATING <br />THE OFFICE OF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION <br />THEREOF." <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />That Ordinance No. 142 entitled "An Ordinance Regulating and Providing <br />for the Inspection of the Installation and Maintenance in Building of Electric <br />Wiring, Electric Devices and Electric Material, Creating the Office of Electrical <br />Inspector, and Fixing the Penalty for the Violation Thereof" be amended by strik- <br />ing therefrom Section 2 and inserting as Section 2 in lieu thereof the following: <br /> <br />"Section a. Salary and Duties of Electrical Inspector. Said electrical <br />inspector shall receive as compensation for his services two-thirds of the fees <br />collected for electrical inspection, and he shall not engage in the business of <br />the installation and the maintenance of electric wiring, electric devices and <br />electric material either directly or indirectly in this Village and he shall have <br />no financial interest in any concern engaged in such business in this Village." <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />That said Ordinance is hereby further amended qy adding to the end of <br />Section 5 thereof the following paragraph: <br /> <br />"Any person, firm, or corporation who shall commence work of any kind <br />for which a permit is required under the provisions of this ordinance without <br />having first received the necessary permit therefor shall, when subsequently sec- <br />uring such permit, be required to pay double the fees provided by this ordinance <br />for such permit, and shall be subject to all the penal provisions of this ordi- <br />nance." <br /> <br />SECTION 3 <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its <br />passage and publication. <br /> <br />Passed b,y the Council this 14th day of July, 1953. <br /> <br />George S.
