<br />128 <br /> <br />which collections are to be made. Said applicant shall file, together with <br />the application, a poli~ or policies of insurance, acceptable to the Village, <br />insuring said applicant in the sum of Ten Thousand and 00/100 ($10,000.00) <br />Dollars against liability imposed by law on account of damages or injuries to <br />persons, and in the sum of Five Thousand and 00/100 ($5,000.00) Dollars <br />against liability imposed by law on account of damage to or destruction of <br />property by reason of the ownership or operation of the vehicle or vehicles <br />to be used by said applicant under the terms of this ordinance, and said policies <br />shall be and remain continuously in force during the period of said license and <br />shall contain a provision that they shall not be revoked or cancelled except <br />upon ten days written notice to the Village. Said applicant shall also de- <br />posit with said application the sum of Fifty and 00/100 ($50.00) Dollars <br />which sum is hereby set as the annual license fee therefor. Said application <br />shall be submitted to the health officer for his investigation and report. If <br />the health officer finds that the applicant is responsible and has proper <br />equipment for such collection and that no nuisance is liable to be created <br />by the granting of said license, he shall endorse his approval upon the applica- <br />tion. <br /> <br />SECTION 8 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The Council shall make such investigation as it may deem necessary and <br />thereafter shall consider the application and grant or deny the same. <br /> <br />SECTION 9 <br /> <br />Each licensed garbage collector shall provide a covered tank, or wagon, <br />so constructed that the contents will not leak or spill therefrom, in which all <br />garbage collected by him shall be conveyed to the place designated in his appli- <br />cation. The wagon or conveyance used shall be kept clean and as free from <br />offensive odors as possible, and shall not be allowed to stand in any street, <br />alley or public place longer than is reasonably necessary to collect garbage. <br /> <br />SECTION 10 <br /> <br />The expense of garbage and rubbish collection shall be paid to the coll- <br />ector, monthly, by the owner, agent, occupant, or tenant of the premises from <br />which such garbage and rubbish is collected, and such fee shall be full compensa- <br />tion for his services in such collection. <br /> <br />SECTION 11 <br /> <br />Each licensed garbage collector shall make collections at least weekly from <br />residences and semi-weekly from hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, etc., from <br />November 1, to April 30, of each year and at least semi-weekly from residences <br />and daily from hotels, restaurants, boarding houses, etc., from May 1, to <br />October 31, of each year. <br /> <br />SECTION 12 <br /> <br />Every householder or owner, occupant or tenant of any premises who does <br />not otherwise dispose of rubbish in a sanitary manner, shall plac~ all rubbish <br />in a receptable, and shall dispose of the same or have the same removed before <br />said rubbish shall become a nuisance to surrounding properties. <br />
