168 ORDINANCE NO. 174 AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE 'BUSINESS OF PLUMBING OR INSTALLING PLUMBING AND PROVIDING A. PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The Village Council of Roseville ordains: SECTION 1 It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage in the business of plumbing or installing plumbing within the limits of the Village of Roseville without first having obt~ined a license so to do as hereinafter provided. SECTION 2 Any person, firm or corporation desiring to engage in said business within the Village of Roseville shall make 'application in writing to the Village Council by filing said application with the Village Clerk. oThe following information shall be set forth in the application: 1. The name and place of residence of the applicant. B. The exact location of the premises at which the applicant proposes to carry on said business. C. Whether the applicant has ever been engaged in said business and if so, where and when. D. The date upon which the applicant was licensed by the State of Minnesota as a master plumber. E. If the applicant is a firm or corporation, the name and place of residence of the master plumber in charge of its work and the date upon which said master plumber was licensed by the State of Minnesota. . .,SEe.TION 3 The applicant shall deposit with the Village Clerk at the time of the filing of his application the sum of $35.00 which sum is hereqy set as the license fee to engage in said business and the Village Clerk shall thereupon deliver to such applicant a duplicate receipt thereof containing a statement of the purpose for which such deposit was made and one of said receipts shall be attached to and filed with said application. . SECTION 4 The Council shall direct such investigation of said application as it may deem necessary to determine whether said applicant is qualified to engage in said business arid shall thereafter consider the application and grant or deny the same, provided that no license shall be granted to any person who has not been licensed as a master plumber by the State of Minnesota or to any firm or corporation who does not have and maintain in its employ a master plumber in charge of its work or who does not comply with the provisions of Ordinance No. 172.
