<br />168 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 174 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE LICENSING AND REGULATING THE 'BUSINESS OF PLUMBING OR INSTALLING <br />PLUMBING AND PROVIDING A. PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to engage <br />in the business of plumbing or installing plumbing within the limits of the <br />Village of Roseville without first having obt~ined a license so to do as <br />hereinafter provided. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />Any person, firm or corporation desiring to engage in said business <br />within the Village of Roseville shall make 'application in writing to the <br />Village Council by filing said application with the Village Clerk. oThe <br />following information shall be set forth in the application: <br /> <br />1. The name and place of residence of the applicant. <br /> <br />B. The exact location of the premises at which the applicant <br />proposes to carry on said business. <br /> <br />C. Whether the applicant has ever been engaged in said business <br />and if so, where and when. <br /> <br />D. The date upon which the applicant was licensed by the State of <br />Minnesota as a master plumber. <br /> <br />E. If the applicant is a firm or corporation, the name and place of <br />residence of the master plumber in charge of its work and the date upon <br />which said master plumber was licensed by the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />. .,SEe.TION 3 <br /> <br />The applicant shall deposit with the Village Clerk at the time of <br />the filing of his application the sum of $35.00 which sum is hereqy set as <br />the license fee to engage in said business and the Village Clerk shall <br />thereupon deliver to such applicant a duplicate receipt thereof containing <br />a statement of the purpose for which such deposit was made and one of said <br />receipts shall be attached to and filed with said application. <br />. <br /> <br />SECTION 4 <br /> <br />The Council shall direct such investigation of said application <br />as it may deem necessary to determine whether said applicant is qualified <br />to engage in said business arid shall thereafter consider the application <br />and grant or deny the same, provided that no license shall be granted to <br />any person who has not been licensed as a master plumber by the State of <br />Minnesota or to any firm or corporation who does not have and maintain in <br />its employ a master plumber in charge of its work or who does not <br />comply with the provisions of Ordinance No. 172. <br />
