<br />ORDINANCE NO. 178 <br /> <br />173 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE DETACHING SOUTH ~ OF THE NORTHWEST i, SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 29, <br />RANGE 23, EXCEPT BLOCKS 1 ~nd 2 GARCELON'S ADDITION TO ST. PAUL, ~EING <br />BLOCKS 3 ~nd. 4 GARCELON'S ADDITION TO ST. PAUL AND BLOCKS 1, 2, 3 ~nc 4 LAUDERDALE's <br />EAST SIDE ADDITION TO MINNEAPOLIS, INCLUDING THE STREETS OR PORTION THEREOF <br />PLATTED WITH THOSE BLOCKS, ACCORDING TO THE RECORDED PLATS THEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ~ petition has been filed by the majority of the owners of the <br />hereinafter described land requesting that said land be detached from the <br />Village of Roseville, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tllli Council finds that it is for the benefit of the Village and <br />the land affected that said hereinafter described lands be detached from the <br />Village of Roseville, <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION I <br /> <br />That the following <,iescribed lands be detached from the Village of Roseville: <br /> <br />South 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4, Section 17, Township 29, Range 23, <br />except Blocks 1 and 2 Garcelon's Addition to St. Paul, being Blocks <br />3 and 4 Garcelon's Addition to St. Paul and Blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 <br />Lauderdale's East Side Addition to Minneapolis, including the <br />streets or portion thereof platted with those Blocks, according <br />to the recorded plats thereof. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />Said detachment shall take effect February 15, 1954, provided that prior to <br />said date the Village of Lauderdale shall duly adopt an ordinance annexing <br />said lands to said Village and certified copies thereof shall be filed with <br />the Clerk of the Village of Roseville, and as provided by law, with the <br />County Auditor and Secretary of State. <br /> <br />Passed by the Village Council this 19th day of January 1954. <br /> <br />~~ (2 ()~ <br />Floyd C. son, Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />j~~~erk <br />
