<br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />202 <br /> <br />QOO <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE M1ENDING SECTION 8 OF ORDINANCE NO. 124 AN ORDINM~CE <br />PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTI1ENT AND <br />MAKING Rl~ES AND REGULATIONS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE SAME. <br /> <br />The Village Council of rtoseville ordains; <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 124 entitled "an Ordinance Providing <br />for the Establishment of a Volunteer Fire Deparbnent and naking <br />Rules and rtegulations for the Government of the Same," be amended <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 8. The Assistant Chiefs and firemen shall be not <br />less than twenty-one (21) nor more than sixty-five (65) years of <br />age and able-bodied. They shall become members of the fire de- <br />partment only after a six (6) months' probationary period. The <br />council may require that each candidate, before be ma,v become a <br />probationary fireman, must satisfy certain minimum requirements of <br />height, weight, education and any other qualifications which m~ <br />be specified by the council; and that be must pass a satisfactory <br />mental and physical examination. All members of the fire department <br />shall be resident. of the Village of Aoseville. <br /> <br />SECTION 11 <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />Passed by the Village Council this 6 <br /> <br />day of September, 1955. <br /> <br />~/~ 1J~1v1.- <br />FLOYD C.
