<br />8. Any noxious or malodorous gas or substance capable of creating a public <br />nuisance. <br />9. Grease, oil and sand intercepters shall be provided when, in the opinion <br />of the Village Engineer, they are necessary for the proper handling of liquid <br />wastes oontaining grease in excessive amount, or any inflammable wastes, sand or <br />other harmbul ingredients; except that such interceptors Shall not be required <br />for private dwelling units which discharge only normal wastes therefrom. Such <br />grease and oil interceptors shall be substantial construction, watertight and <br />equipped with easily removable covers which when bolted in place shall be gas- <br />tight and watertight. All Grease, oil and sand interceptors shall be maintained by <br />the owner, at his expense, in continuously efficient operation at all times. <br /> <br />-. I) ~ .If:'" <br />~u~. <br /> <br />(B) It shall be unlawful to discharge into the municipal saliitary sewer system any <br />industrial wastes unless the pripp approval of the Village Engineer is obtained. The <br />Engineer shall approve the discharge of industrial wastes when, in his opinion, the <br />proposed wastes will not be of an unusual amount or charachter. When in the opinion <br />of the Village Engineer, the proposed wastes are of an unusual amount or character, <br />the Village Engineer may approve 'such wastes, provided the prior approval of the <br />COUncml of the Cit,y of Saint Paul is obtained. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br /> <br />DISCHARGE OF SURFACE WATERS PROHIBITED <br /> <br />It shal). be unlawful to discharge or cause to be discharged into the municipal <br />sanitary sewer system, either directly or indirectly, any roof, sterm, surface <br />or ground water of any type or kind. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br /> <br />TAMPERING WITH MU}ITCIPAL S~NER SYSTEM PROHIBITED. <br /> <br />No person shall maliciously, wilfully or negligently break, damage, destroy, uncover, <br />deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenanee or equipment which is a part of the <br />munici~al sewer system. <br /> <br />Section 6. CERTAIN CONNECTIONS PROHIBITED <br /> <br />No buildings located on property lying outside the limits of the Village of Roseville <br />shall be connected to the municipal sanitary sewer system unless express authorization <br />therefor is obtained from the Council of the Village of Roseville and the Council of the <br />City of Saint Paul. <br /> <br />. Section 7. ENTRY UPON PRIVATE PROPERTY <br /> <br />The Village Engineer and other du~ authorized employees of the Village, bearing proper <br />credentials and indentification, shall at reasonable times be permitted to enter upon <br />all properties for the purpose of inspection, observation, measurement, s~ling and <br />testing in connection with the operation of the municipal sanitary sewer system. <br /> <br />Section 8. (Reserved for Rates and Charges) <br /> <br />Section 9. PENALTIES <br /> <br />Any person guilty of violating any provision of this ordinance shall be guilty of <br />a mieldemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine of not exceed <br />$100.00 or by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not t.e exceed ninety (90) <br />days, or by both. <br />
