387 ORDINANCE NO. 236 Adopted August 20, 1957 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING NO. 233 SECTION 9, BEING AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ALL MATTERS CONCERNING REGULATING OR EFFECTING THE LICENSING OF HOUSE S~~ CONTRACTORS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROCURING AND FIXING RESPONSIBILITY TO THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE AND THE PUBLIC, AND TO INSURE A STA"NDARD TYPE OF HCRKMANSHIP. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RENDERED NECESSARY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND COMFORT. The Village Council of Roseville does ordain: SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 233 Section 9, An Ordinance Providing for all Matters Concerning Regulating or Effecting the Licensing of House Sewer Contractors for the Purpose of PrOC!.lring and Fixing Responsibility to the Village of Roseville and the Public, and to Insure a Standard Type of Workmanship. This is an Emergency Ordinance Rendered Necessary for the Preservation of t~e Public Peace, Health and Comfort, be amended to read as follows: "SECTION 9: A house sewer contractor before he shall be allowed to engage in business shall give a surety to the Village of Roseville in the sum of Twenty five hundred dollars ($2500.00) to be approved by the Village Attorne,r as to form, and by the Villaeo Clerk as to securities, and to be so conditioned that such work as the house sewer contractor is to be permitted to perform, shall be done in accordance with ordinances governing this class of work; and further conditioned to protect and save harmless the Village of Roseville from any and all liability, damage and expense which said Village may S!lstain by reason of the granting of such permit for the mpking or doing of such work."
