<br />ORDINANCE NO.~ <br /> <br />AN C'illJTITANCE GOVERNING THE <br />REGISTRATION OF R.EVC,LVERS <br />PISTOLS AND HM!!; GUNS. <br /> <br />The Village Council of Roseville dees <br /> <br />, . <br />oro aUl : <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />No parson shall purchase, saIl, Q~rter, trade, own, or have in <br />h23 possession any pistol, revolver, or other hand g',.m v.-ithout registering <br />the same with the Chief of Police of the Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />Section II. <br /> <br />All persons in the Village of Roseville owning or having in their <br />possession ~~y such weapcn described above shall forthwith register the same <br />with the Roseville Chief of Police upon anapplication p~ocured from him and <br />each registr~tion shall be accompanied by the f€o of twenty-five cents per <br />gun to be paid to the Village of Roseville. <br /> <br />Section III. <br /> <br />Every per::;on who shall sell, barter cr trade or otherwise dispooe <br />of any hand weapon shall within ten days of such disposition make a written <br />report of the same to the Chief of Police 1.!pon a report form procured from the <br />Folice Department designating the name and address of the person so purchasing <br />or otherwise receiving said weapon, the serial nwnber, make and model, and <br />date of such transaction, together with such further information as the Chief <br />of Police may require. The previsions of this paragraph shall be applicable <br />to any retail merchant selling such hand weapons v.-ithin the Village of Rose- <br />villa, but such mer~hant shall not be required t~ register said weapons prior <br />to their actual use or sale. <br /> <br />Section IV. <br /> <br />No person may discharge any such hand weapon within the Village of <br />Roseville nor may the same be carried in any holster or otherwise upon tho <br />parson whether concealed or not concoaled nor may the same be loaded at any <br />time either in the maga~ina or in the chamber except under such conditions and <br />in such places as the Chief of Folice shall have previously authorized in <br />writing, ~~d then under only those conditions and in those places 30 authorized. <br /> <br />Section V. <br /> <br />Any pelice officer or other law enforcement officer is hereby <br />authorized to take possession of any lmregistered hand weapon or any such weapon <br />that shall in any way 1riolate the provisions of this ordinance or shall in c."1~' <br />c !jher manner be unlo:wfully used and the same shall be delivered to the Chit' of <br />
