<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 27th day of January, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: P. Johnson, Thomas, Cushman, <br />Maschka, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8743 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING PERMISSION TO ERECT A <br />DIRECTIONAL/RESTAURANT SIGN ON MNDOT PROPERTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, visibility has been a significant problem for certain <br />restaurants at the northeast quadrant of County Road C and Snelling <br />Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said problems of the aforementioned restaurants are a result <br />of the previous MnDOT right-of-way turn back; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a directional sign south of County Road C on the MnDOT right- <br />of-way, depicting the specific restaurant names and their respective <br />locations would substantially ameliorate this situation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, permission from MnDOT is required to locate the aforementioned <br />sign on MnDOT right-of-way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, MnDOT has previously set a precedent by allowing signs on <br />state right-of-ways; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville respectfully <br />requests MnDOT approval to erect the aforementioned sign on MnDOT <br />right-of-way south of County Road C. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, and V. <br />Johnson, and the following voted against the same: P. Johnson. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
