EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 27th day of January, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: P. Johnson, Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8743 RESOLUTION REQUESTING PERMISSION TO ERECT A DIRECTIONAL/RESTAURANT SIGN ON MNDOT PROPERTY WHEREAS, visibility has been a significant problem for certain restaurants at the northeast quadrant of County Road C and Snelling Avenue; and WHEREAS, said problems of the aforementioned restaurants are a result of the previous MnDOT right-of-way turn back; and WHEREAS, a directional sign south of County Road C on the MnDOT right- of-way, depicting the specific restaurant names and their respective locations would substantially ameliorate this situation; and WHEREAS, permission from MnDOT is required to locate the aforementioned sign on MnDOT right-of-way; and WHEREAS, MnDOT has previously set a precedent by allowing signs on state right-of-ways; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville respectfully requests MnDOT approval to erect the aforementioned sign on MnDOT right-of-way south of County Road C. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, and V. Johnson, and the following voted against the same: P. Johnson. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
