<br />ORDINANCE NO.~ 7 <br /> <br />J..N ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO PO\-TERS <br />OF MUNICIPAL OFFICERS IN .PFESERVING <br />THE PEACE AND IN THE CONTROL OF <br />DISOF[lERLY CONDUCT. <br /> <br />The Village of Reseville does ordain: <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />The m~Tor, trustees, and all police officers shall be officers <br />of the peace and may command peace, suppress in a summary manner all <br />rioting and disorderly conduct within the limits of the Village of Rose- <br />villa, and for such purpose may command the assistance of all bystanders, <br />and if necessary of all citizens and all companies of the National Guard <br />of Minnesota; and if any citizen, bystander, military officer or private <br />of said Guard shall refuse when so required to maintain the peace, such <br />person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of Fifty <br />Dollars or uFon failure to pay such fine shall be confined for a perioCl <br />of thirty days in a county jailor workhouse. <br /> <br />Section II. <br /> <br />In cases where the military power may be required to suppress <br />riot or disorderly conduct, or preserve the peace, the mayor, a councilman, <br />a lieutenant or superior officer of the police force, if present, shall <br />direct all proceedings, and if none such is present, then the superior <br />military officer present shall direct all proceedings. <br /> <br />Section III. <br /> <br />This ordj~ance shall take effect and be in force from and after <br />its passage and publication. <br /> <br />Passed by tho Vlllage Councll this.::3f..de:s of ar,/f7,lka1-r ,1959. <br /> <br />(/ <br /> <br />~'~""/f("'y U <br />0i~,,\~" \v- <br />Mayo~ <br /> <br />./ <br /> <br />AT.,tS'l' : <br />~" / / . <br />--< 1f'7 ';" L L <br />Village/91erk <br /> <br />. .' <br /> <br />)LC <br /> <br />-""" <br /> <br />/ <br />-."../ ./ <br />;/ <br />'r <br />..'
