UNDER THE AGE OF 18 YEARS ON '!BE STREE'l'S OR IN PUBLIC PLACES BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 10:00 PM AND 5;00 AM, .DEFlNING THE DUTIES OF PARENTS AND O'.J;HEBS IN THE CASE OF MINORS AND PROVJDING FOR P.mAL- TIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, Am) REPEAL- ING ORD INANCE NO. 208. The Village Council of Roseville ordains: SECTION I It shall be ~wful for any minor under the age of 18 years to 101 ter, idle or be in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds or other public grounds, public places and public buildings, places or amuse- ment, entertaim1ent, or refresbment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places between the hours of 10:00 o'clock PM and 5:00 o'clock AM the following day; provided, however, that the prOYision of this section shall not apply to such minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other having the care ed custody of the minor or when the Dl1J1or is upon SODle necessary errand by permission or direction of his or her parent, guarQian or other adult person haTing the care and custody of the Dl1J1or, which said permission shall be in writing and signed by such parent, guardian or other adult person haYing the care and custody of the Ddnor. SECTION IT It shall be unlawf'ul for the parent, guardian or other adult haTing the care and custody of a minor under the age of 18 years of age to permit such minor to loiter, idle or be in or upon the public streets, highways, roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, publiJ places and buildings, places CIt amusement, entertainment or refreshment, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places between the hours of 10:00 o'clock PM tmd 5:00 o'clock AM of the rollowing day; provided, hovever, that the provisions of this section shall not apply when the minor 1s accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and CUJltody of the m1nor or when the m1D.or is upon some necessary errand by permission or direction or his or her parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody ot the m1nor. SECTION nI It shall be unlaw1'ul f or aDY person, firm or corporation operating or in charge ot any place of amusement, entertai:nment, or ref'reshmellt to permit any Idnor under the age of 18 years of age to remain in such place duriD.g the hours pro- hibited by this ordinance; provided, however, that the provisions of this ordin- ance sha1l not apply when such minor is accompanied by his or her pil.rent, guardian or other adult person haVing the care and custody .r the minor. SECTION IV The Ma3or, upon the request of the Superintendent of allY Public Schools in the Village ot Roseville may designate certain nights during the school yeu as "School Nights" at such times as said schools shall be engaged in athletic, musical, dramatic or social activities for the benefit or entertainment of its students.
