<br />(2) The meter shall be located so that the bottom is from <br /> <br />twelve (12) inches to 24 inches above the finished floor <br /> <br />line. <br /> <br />The meter shall be set not more than twelve (12) inches <br /> <br />measured horizontally from the inside line of the basement <br /> <br />wall, unless an alternate method is approved by the <br /> <br />Building Inspector. <br /> <br />(3) All meter installations shall have a stop and waste gate <br /> <br />v'alve on the street side of the meter. In no case shall <br /> <br />there be more than twelve (12) inches of pipe exposed <br /> <br />between the point of entrance through the basement floor <br /> <br />and the stop and waste valve. A stop and waste gate <br /> <br />valve shall also be installed on the house side of the <br /> <br />meter. All fittings and pipe to be red, brass, or bronze. <br /> <br />Gate valves shall be brass 125 pounds standard. <br /> <br />66.420. Use of Fire Hydrants. No person other than authorized <br /> <br />Village employees shall operate fire hydrants or interfere in any way <br /> <br />with the water system without first obtaining authority to do so from <br /> <br />the Utilities Superintendent. <br /> <br />66.430. Hydrant Rentals. There shall be a $15 rental fee <br /> <br />for fire hydrants, payable by each owner (including the Village) upon <br /> <br />whose property such hydrant is situated. <br /> <br />66.500. Utilities Superintendent. The Council may appoint a <br /> <br />Utilities Superintendent who shall assume and discharge the <br /> <br />responsibilities imposed by this Chapter, along with such other duties <br /> <br />as may be required or assigned to him by the Council. <br /> <br />.....19- <br />
