<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~:3~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 72.070, 72.080, <br /> <br />and 72.190 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF <br /> <br />ROSEVILLE, PERTAINING TO THE ALLOWED USE OF CERTAIN <br /> <br />MATERIALS IN CONNECTING TO THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM, <br /> <br />AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OWNER OR OCCUPANT FOR <br /> <br />MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN ASPECTS OF THE SANITARY SEWER <br /> <br />SYSTEM. <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of <br /> <br />Roseville does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 72.070 of the Village Code is hereby <br /> <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />72.070. Joints and Connections for Cast <br />Iron Soil Pipe. <br /> <br />(1) Joints to cast iron pipe shall <br /> <br />be made by inserting a roll of hemp or jute and thQr- <br /> <br />oughly caulking it into place and then following with <br /> <br />pure molten lead well caulked not less than 1 inch deep. <br /> <br />(2) Mechanical slip joints with neoprene <br /> <br />rubber rings are acceptable if installed according to <br /> <br />manufacturers recommendations. <br />
