<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 655 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE BY ADDING THERETO A CHAPTER 168 <br />PROHIBITING THE POSSESSION OF NARCOTIC DRUGS. <br /> <br />The Village Council of the Village of Roseville <br /> <br />does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Chapter 168 of the Village Code of the Village of <br /> <br />Roseville will read as follows: <br /> <br />168.010. Possession of Narcotic Drugs. Except as <br />authorized by Minnesota Statutes 1971, Chapter 937, no <br />person shall possess or have under his control any narcotic <br />drug. <br /> <br />168.020. Narcotic Drugs. "Narcotic drugs" means <br />coca leaves, opium, cannabis, isonipecaine, amidone, <br />isomidone, ketobemidone, and every other substance neither <br />chemically nor physically distinguishable from them; any <br />other drugs to which the federal narcotic laws may now apply; <br />and any other drug which is hereafter included under the federal <br />narcotic law and found by the state board of health after reason- <br />able notice and opportunity for hearing, to have an addiction- <br />forming or addiction-sustaining liability similar to morphine <br />or cocaine, from the effective date of determination of such <br />finding by said state board of health. <br /> <br />168.030. Cannabis. "Cannabis" includes all parts of <br />the plant Cannabis Sativa L., whether growing or not; the <br />seeds thereof; the resin extracted from any part of <br />such plant; and every compound, manufacture, sale, derivative, <br />mixture, or preparation of such plant, its seeds, or resin; <br />but shall not include the mature stalks of such plant, fiber <br />
