<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 781 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 87.070 TO THE CITY CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE PROHIBITING NON-HANDICAPPED PERSONS <br />FROM PARKING IN SPACES DESIGNATED FOR THE HANDICAPPED. <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />"87.070. <br /> <br />Handicapped Parking. <br /> <br />(1) No person shall park a motor vehicle in a <br />parking space designated and reserved for the <br />physically handicapped, on either private or <br />public property, unless: <br /> <br />(a) That person is physically handicapped <br />in a manner rendering it difficult and <br />burdensome for such person to walk or such <br />person was operating the vehicle under the <br />direction of such a physically handicapped <br />person, and <br /> <br />(b) The vehicle visibly bears or contains <br />the certificate or insignia issued to <br />physically handicapped persons by the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety pur- <br />suant to Minn. Stat. ~169.345, subd. 2. <br /> <br />(2) Notice of such designation of handicapped parking <br />spaces shall be given by the posting of signs designated <br />in accordance with the requirements of the Manual of <br />the Commissioner of Public Safety on Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices and the location, number and method <br />of signing of such spaces is first approved by the <br />Chief of Police. <br /> <br />(3) A violation of this Section shall constitute <br />a petty misdemeanor. Vehicles in violation may be <br />removed, impounded, and kept in custody under the <br />direction of the Chief of Police. <br />
