<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 784 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION l29.0l0(a) OF THE <br />CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE DEFINING THE WORDS <br />"MASSAGE", "MASSEUR" AND "MASSEUSE". <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does <br /> <br />hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 129.010 of the City Code of the City <br /> <br />of Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />129.010. Definitions. <br /> <br />(a) The term "massage" means the rubbing, <br />stroking, kneading, tapping or rolling of the <br />body with the hands, for the exclusive purposes <br />of relaxation, physical fitness or beautification <br />and for no other purpose; the term "masseur" means <br />a male person and the term "masseuse" a female <br />person who practices massage; the practice of <br />massage is hereby declared to be distinct from <br />the practice of medicine, surgery, osteopathy, <br />chiropratic, physical therapy, podiatry, nursing, <br />athletic directors and trainers. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> <br />from and after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville, this 14th day of <br /> <br />Jnne <br /> <br />, 1976. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />/ ) /- <br />I ,; // <br />I , --/ / <._/ /'" <br />'''':';'''f.-1/_( ,,/e ,/ ,\..."", {?t.,~.-...<_ <br />Manager <br /> <br />M~~ <br />
