<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 791 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 35.065 TO THE CITY CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE PROVIDING FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br />SYSTEMS FOR THE STORAGE OF LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM GAS. <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 35.065 of the City Code of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville is hereby enacted to read as follows: <br /> <br />"35.065. Protection Systems for Liquified <br />Petroleum Gas Storage. <br /> <br />All bulk storage facilities for liquified petroleum <br />gas containing 2,000 gallons water capacity or <br />more shall be stored in tanks protected from fire <br />by one of the following protection systems: <br /> <br />(1) A pre-action water spray system designed <br />in accordance with National Fire Protection <br />Association Standard No. 15 which is hereby <br />adopted by reference. <br /> <br />(2) Tanks coated with a water based, thermally <br />activated, subliming, intumescent fire- <br />proofing insulation capable of passing a <br />minimum fire resistance test of two hours <br />when tested on steel pressure vessels <br />using standard industry tests; the surface <br />coating shall be impermable and hardshelled <br />to resist weathering. <br /> <br />(3) Upon the submission of detailed plans and <br />specifications and upon the written approval <br />of the Fire Chief and the Fire Marshal, tanks <br />may be mounded above grade. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br /> <br />* <br />
