CITY OF ROSEVILLE AN ORDINANCE NO. 807 * * * * * * * AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 210 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTROL OF DUTCH ELM AND OAK WILT DISEASE. The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby ordain: I. Chapter 210 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: 210. COhtrol of Dutch Elm and Oak Wilt Disease. 210.010. Tree Inspection. The City Manager or an employee of the City designated by the Manager may enteron any private lands which may harbor trees containing Dutch Elm disease or Oak Wilt disease to inspect trees located on such premises. 210.020. Notice to Property Owners of Diseased Trees and Order for Removal. In the event the City Manager or an authorized employee finds diseased elm or oak trees on private lands, a notice shall be posted by the City Manager or the authorized employee, in a conspicuous place on the property where the trees are located, substantially as follows: "DUTCH ELM DISEASE/OAK WILT DISEASE EXISTS ON THESE PREMISES AND ALL TREES MARKED WITH A RED "X" BUST BE REHOVED BY BY ORDER OF THE CITY MANAGER". The date inserted in said notice shall be twenty (20) days after posting. Failure to remove the trees by said date will cause the City to remove said trees and all costs for the ,inspection, removal or treatment of trees shall be charged against the property owner, provided however, such costs may be assessed against the property pursuant to Section 210.030. The City Manager or authorized employee of the City shall also cause a copy of said notice to be mailed to the property owner on whose land the diseased tree is located and the mailing
