<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 841 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 254.050 OF THE CITY CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, PROHIBITING CERTAIN POLITICAL ACTIVITIES <br />BY CITY EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 254.050 of the City Code of the City of Roseville <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />254.050. Political Activity. No city employee <br />shall directly or indirectly-:- <br /> <br />(1) During his hours of employment, solicit or <br />receive political funds; <br /> <br />(2) At any time use his authority or official <br />influence to compel any employee: <br /> <br />a) To apply for membership in or to become <br />a member of a political organization. <br /> <br />b) To payor promise to pay any assessment, <br />subscription or political contribution. <br /> <br />c) To take part in any political activity. <br /> <br />Any city employee found guilty of a violation of this section by a <br /> <br />court of competent jurisdiction shall immediately have his employment <br /> <br />by the city terminated. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br /> <br />and after its passage and publication. <br />
