<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 891 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE BY ADDING SECTIONS 66.600 AND 66.610 REGULATING <br />PRIVATE WATER SYSTEMS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does <br /> <br />hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />The City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby <br /> <br />amended by adding Sections 66.600 and 66.610 to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />66.600. Private Water Systems. Existing <br />private water systems may be continued and main- <br />tained. Private wells serving such systems may <br />not be drilled without a permit from the Director <br />of Public Works or the City Council. <br /> <br />66.610. Permits for Private Wells. The <br />Director of Public Works shall issue such permits <br />only if the following requirement exists: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The well will only serve one single <br />family residence, and <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The use of the municipal system would <br />create a health problem for the occu- <br />pants of such single family dwelling or <br />the private well is used as supply water <br />for a heating system. <br /> <br />All <br />the City <br />permits <br />private <br />system. <br /> <br />other wells shall require a permit from <br />Council. The Council will issue such <br />only after a determination that the <br />well will not interfere with the municipal <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> <br />from and after its passage and publication. <br />
