EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 8th day of June, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, P. John- son, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. Member Thomas introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8808 RESOLUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA AMATEUR SPORTS COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC), via the State Capital Bonding Fund, provides for capital funds to assist political subdivisions of the State of Minnesota for the development of sports facilities; and WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has allocated $1.9 million to the City of Roseville to construct the John Rose Minnesota Oval Speed Skating/Bandy Multi-use Facility; and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is required to contribute $1 million in matching funds to complete the estimated $2.9 million project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville agrees to receive the $1. 9 mill ion from the Minnesota State Capital Bonding Fund; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, agrees to provide $1 million in matching funds to construct the John Rose Minnesota Oval; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, authorizes the Mayor and city Manager to execute a contract, containing the following conditions, with the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission to construct and operate the John Rose Minnesota Oval: Final acceptance will not be made until public hearings are held; and Final site determination is made; and Official declaration for matching funds is made; and That no State Capital Bonding Funds will be expended until final certification and a spending plan is received and approved by the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission.
