<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 8th day of June, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thomas, Cushman, Maschka, P. John- <br />son, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Thomas introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8808 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE MINNESOTA AMATEUR SPORTS COMMISSION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission (MASC), via the State <br />Capital Bonding Fund, provides for capital funds to assist political <br />subdivisions of the State of Minnesota for the development of sports <br />facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has allocated $1.9 million to the <br />City of Roseville to construct the John Rose Minnesota Oval Speed <br />Skating/Bandy Multi-use Facility; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is required to contribute $1 million in <br />matching funds to complete the estimated $2.9 million project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville agrees to <br />receive the $1. 9 mill ion from the Minnesota State Capital Bonding <br />Fund; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, agrees to provide $1 million in matching funds <br />to construct the John Rose Minnesota Oval; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, authorizes the Mayor and city Manager to <br />execute a contract, containing the following conditions, with the <br />Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission to construct and operate the John <br />Rose Minnesota Oval: <br /> <br />Final acceptance will not be made until public hearings <br />are held; and <br /> <br />Final site determination is made; and <br /> <br />Official declaration for matching funds is made; and <br /> <br />That no State Capital Bonding Funds will be expended until <br />final certification and a spending plan is received and <br />approved by the Minnesota Amateur Sports Commission. <br />
