CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 917 * * * * * * * * * AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 232.020 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, DEALING WITH ELECTION OF OFFICERS IN THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT. The City Council of the City of RoseviUe is does hereby ordain: I. Section 232.020 of the City Code of the City of RoseviUe is hereby amended to read: 232.020. Election of Certain Officials. Certain officers of the Vounteer Fire Department shall be elected by a majority of the fire fighters voting at the times and for the terms described: (a) Fire Chief -- beginning in 1983, the term of office of the Chief shall be two years. (b) Deputy Chief -- in 1983, the term of office for the Deputy Chief shall be one year. Beginning in 1984, the term of office of the Deputy Chief shall be two years. (c) One District Chief shall be elected for every station and such District Chiefs shall serve one year terms. Each of the officers described above, after their election by a majority vote, must first be confirmed by the City Council before they take office. Each of the officers described above shall hold office for the terms specified above or until their death, resignation, incapacity, or removal by the City Council for just cause after notice and a public hearing. II. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication. PASSED by the City Council of the City of RoseviUe this 20th day of December , 1982.
