CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDINANCE NO. 925 * * * * * * * * * AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 5.535 DEFINING "NONMOTORIZED PATHWAYS" AND AL"1ENDING SECTION 8.370 REQUIRING THE CONSTRUC- TION OF NONMOTORIZED PATHWAYS ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES AND AMEND- ING SECTION 203.020 REQUIRING REMOVAL OF SNOW AND ICE FROM NONMOTORIZED PATHWAYS. The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby ordain: I. The City Code of the City of Roseville is amended by add- ing a new section 5.535 to read as follows: 5.535. Nonmotorized pathways. On-road and off-road pathways which are used for pedestrian, bicycle, and other nonmotorized rreans of transportation, the specifi- cations of which shall be established by the Public Works Director. II. Section 8.370 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: 8.370. Nonmotorized Pathways Required. On all pro- perties which are on the Clty's official nonmotorized pathway system, established by resolution of the Coun- cil, except non-tax exempt R-l or R-2 properties, and on all B-1 through B-4 and shopping center zoned pro- perties, regardless of whether or not they are on the official pathway system, where there is new building construction or renovation where the renovation value is fifty percent (50%) or more of the pre-renovation value of the structure, nonmotorized pathways shall be constructed by the property owner in public right- of-way, at a place prescribed by the Public Works Director and pursuant to standard specifications es- tablished by the Public Works Director. In lieu of construction of a nonmotorized pathway, described herein, the property owner may pay to the City an amount equal to the construction cost of the nonmotorized pathway to satisfy the obligations of this section. Said payment shall be used by the City to further maintenance and construction of the non- motorized pathway system within the City. III. Section 203.020 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is amended to read as follows:
