<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 945 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE M1ENDING CHAPTER 110 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, <br />REQUIRING QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM CERTIFICATION OF FOOD SERVICE ESTABLISHMENTS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Rosevi11e does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />Section 110.020 (h) of the City Code of the City of Rosevil1e 1S hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(h) Section 3-501 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />3-501. Employee Education. All food service establishments <br />(except candy, nutritional food, groceries only, prepackaged goods, <br />or establishments processing and packaging foods) shall have in its <br />employment, at all times, at least one owner or manager certified <br />as having successfully completed a quality assurance program for <br />the prevention of food-borne illness transmission in food service, <br />approved by the City's Environmental Health Consultant. The in- <br />dividual certified must be recertified after two (2) years. <br /> <br />Each licensed holder shall be responsible for any payment of <br />fees or charges assessed for such education training program. All <br />requirements of the course must be met, including the preparation <br />by the licensee, and approval thereof of a quality assurance program <br />for the prevention of food-borne illness transmission in food service <br />for the licensee's food service establishment. No food establishment <br />shall be issued a restaurant license, unless it has met the require- <br />ments of this ordinance. Each food service establishment must submit <br />proof to the City Manager's office of having at least a full-time <br />owner or manager, duly certified according to this ordinance.
