<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 948 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 232.100 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE, DEALING WITH THE REQUIRED PERCENTAGE OF CALLS FOR MEMBERS OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby ordain: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Section 232.100(2) of the City Code of the City of Rosevi11e is hereby <br /> <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(2) Each Firefighter shall respond to at least thirty percent <br />(30%) of emergency calls (as is more fully delineated at paragraph <br />5.3 of the Bylaws of the Rosevi11e Volunteer Fire Department) for <br />the member's district except calls occurring during the following <br />times shall not be counted: <br /> <br />(a) During a leave of absence; <br /> <br />(b) During a period of suspension; <br /> <br />(c) During a period of incapacity caused by disability, <br />illness, or injury (the Chief may require a written <br />verification by a physician); <br /> <br />(d) During periods of vacation for five (5) consecutive days <br />or longer, not to exceed a total of thirty (30) days per <br />year. <br /> <br />Firefighters who are employed within the City of Rosevil1e who <br />respond during their daytime work hours and live more than five <br />(5) miles outside the City's boundaries, shall be required to <br />respond to thirty percent (30%) of all emergency calls occurring <br />during their working hours in the district where they are employed, <br />without regard to the exceptions set forth above. <br />
