<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AN ORDINANCE NO. 987 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 87.160(1) OF THE CITY <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE PERTAINING TO FIRE LANES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Roseville does hereby <br /> <br />ordain: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 87.160(1) of the City Code of the City of <br /> <br />Roseville is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />(1) When the fire chief determines that it is <br />necessary for fire safety purposes to establish areas <br />of access for firefighting equipment, the fire chief <br />shall designate fire lanes along the curb of public and <br />private roadways adjacent to buildings and within the <br />parking lots of public and private property. Within <br />thirty (30) days of notification of such designation, <br />in writing, by the fire chief, the owner of the <br />property adjacent to such fire lanes shall, at the <br />property owner's expense: <br /> <br />(a) Post and maintain signs approved by the <br />fire chief reading, in substance, "NO PARKING - FIRE <br />LANE." Such signs shall be posted at each end of the <br />fire lane and at least at everyone hundred (100) foot <br />interval within the fire lane. <br /> <br />(b) Paint and maintain the painting of the <br />curbing along the fire lanes in a yellow color. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br /> <br />and after its passage and publication. <br /> <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> <br />Minnesota, this 2nd day of December <br /> <br />, 1985. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />{ <br />"-.-.- L.:~. l?l....i ,/ <br />M~~ger <br />v..... <br /> <br />, / <br />"0.
