EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city Council of the city of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 10th day of August, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, P. Johnson, and V. Johnson, and the following were absent: None. Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8821 SUBURBAN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WHEREAS, the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce has served our area for the last fifteen years; and WHEREAS, the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce is the only business and professional organization in our area studying business and legis- lative issues from a single suburban perspective; and WHEREAS, the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and dialog among our city leaders, businesses, schools, and surrounding communities; and WHEREAS, the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce is a positive voice for our City and the surrounding suburban area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville declare our support for the Suburban Area Chamber of Commerce as an independent voice for business in our community. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Cushman, Thomas, P. John- son, and V. Johnson, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
