<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD MAY 4, 1965 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting <br />of the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and <br />held at the Village Hall in said Village on May 4, 1965 at 5:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, GDodrich and Shields <br /> <br />and the following members were absent: Trustee Grauel <br /> <br />Member Shields <br />Resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1211 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is no federal law establishing a uniform <br />date for initiating and terminating daylight saving time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lack of such federal law has resulted in <br />the use of various dates for initiating daylight saving time in various <br />cities and communities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these discrepancies in the dates for initiating <br />daylight saving time create inconvenience, confusion, economic <br />loss, and the abs61Ce of daylight saving time in this Village has <br />operated to the detriment of the best interests of the citizens of the <br />Village of Roseville; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, By Resolution No. 223214, the City of Saint <br />Paul, Minnesota, has on May 4, 1965 adopted a resolution, copy of <br />which is attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />
