<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JUNE 7, 1965 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of <br />the Village Council of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and <br />held at the Village Hall in said Village on June 7, 1965, at 7:30 <br />p.m. The following members were present: <br /> <br />Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees Curley, Grauel and Shields <br /> <br />and the following was absent: Trustee Goodrich. <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1239 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Central Park Foundation has initiated a <br />fund drive to raise money for the development of the Roseville Central <br />Park; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the development of the Roseville Central Park is in the <br />best interests of all citizens of the Village of Roseville; <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the Roseville Central Park Foundation represents a <br />means of private citizens assuming responsibility for development of <br />public facilities rather than relying upon a governmental unit to under- <br />take such development; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the Village <br />of Roseville, Minnesota, that all citizens and friends of the Village of <br />Roseville are hereby encouraged to assist in obtaining contributions in <br />the fund drive of the Roseville Central Park Foundation to raise $200,000 <br />for the development of this park site. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Grauel and upon a vote being taken thereon, all members <br />present voted in favor of the resolution and no one voted against the same. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
