<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA, HELD JULY 12, 1965 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />Village Council of the Village of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called <br />and held at the Village Hall in said Village on July 12, 1965, at <br />7:30 P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Cedarholm, Trustees <br />Curley, Grauel and Shields <br /> <br />and the following absent: Trustee Goodrich <br /> <br />Member Shields introduced the following Resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1272 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Rosevil1e is concerned with the problem <br />of local liquor control and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, state law does not give a municipality having a population <br />of 10,000 or over the right to decide its own liquor operations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, state law now prohibits certain municipalities, regardless <br />of size, from deciding what form or combination of liquor operations it <br />may have, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this issue has now become a statewide problem, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF ROSEVILLE, <br />MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. Request that the Minnesota League of Municipalities General <br />Legislation Committee study this matter with a view toward <br />recommending corrective legislation to the 1967 Minnesota State <br />Legislature. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Grauel and upon a vote being taken thereon, all <br />members present voted in favor. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, <br />this 12th day of July, 1965. <br /> <br />SEAL <br /> <br />
