EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 9th day of November, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: P. Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and V. Johnson. Members absent: None. Member P. Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8861 IN APPRECIATION TO SAM ROCKWOOD FROM THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE WHEREAS, Sam Rockwood has consistently demonstrated his commitment to service for his nation and community; and WHEREAS, this commitment has manifested itself in his presiding over the Rosetown Memorial Post 542 Americanism Program which encouraged area students to study, write, and speak of the principals of Democracy; and WHEREAS, Sam Rockwood has contributed his time, skills, knowledge, and energy to coaching young men through eighteen winning years of Rosetown Memorial Legion Baseball; and WHEREAS, these efforts have contributed to making Roseville area youth contributing citizens to our community and nation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville, in recognition of Sam Rockwood's contributions, proclaims that November 14, 1992, be SAM ROCKWOOD DAY in the City of Roseville, Minnesota. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: P. Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, and V. Johnson, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
