<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 9th day of November, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: P. Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, <br />Maschka, and V. Johnson. Members absent: None. <br /> <br />Member P. Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8861 <br /> <br />IN APPRECIATION TO SAM ROCKWOOD <br />FROM THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sam Rockwood has consistently demonstrated his commitment to <br />service for his nation and community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this commitment has manifested itself in his presiding over the <br />Rosetown Memorial Post 542 Americanism Program which encouraged area <br />students to study, write, and speak of the principals of Democracy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sam Rockwood has contributed his time, skills, knowledge, and <br />energy to coaching young men through eighteen winning years of Rosetown <br />Memorial Legion Baseball; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these efforts have contributed to making Roseville area youth <br />contributing citizens to our community and nation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, in recognition of Sam Rockwood's contributions, proclaims <br />that November 14, 1992, be SAM ROCKWOOD DAY in the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: P. Johnson, Cushman, Thomas, Maschka, <br />and V. Johnson, and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
