Planning Commission Minutes

Regular Meeting August 7, 1963
8:15 P.M. to 9:30 P.M.

Chairman Jonason called the meeting to order. Commissioners Grauel, Jonason, Membrez,
Motl and Soike were present. Planner Dahlgren and Engineer Hanson were also present.
Commissioners Lund and Sigford and Councilman Schrenker were absent.

Case No. 146 - Louis L. Borash - Petition to vacate Judith Avenue from the east line
of Churchill Street to the west line of Oxford Street. Louis L. Borash, 2778 Churchill
Street and Gordon Meek, 2791 Oxford Street, represented the four property owners who
signed the petition. George Reiling opposed the petition.

Soike moved, Membrez seconded, that we recommend that the petition be denied. Carried
Unanimously.

Case No. 149 - Bee-Dale, Inc. - Application to rezone land from R-l to B-1 near Rice
Street and Highway No. 36. Representatives of Bee-Dale, Inc. were not present at the
meeting.

Membrez moved, Soike seconded, that the application submitted by Bee-Dale, Inc. be
continued until the next meeting. Carried unanimously.

Case No. 151 - Leo Reinhardt - Application to subdivide Lot 10, Block 3, Kroiss
Eastwood Addition into two lots near Western Avenue and County Road C.

Leo Reinhardt attended the meeting. Mr. Reinhardt proposes to split 140 feet of
frontage on Western Avenue into two 70 foot residential lots. The lots would be sub-
stanially smaller in scale than those of other lots in the area.

Motl moved, Soike seconded, that the division of lot requested by Leo Reinhardt at
Western Avenue and County Road C be recommended for denial on the basis that the
proposed lots are too small. Carried unanimously.

Case No. 152 - Earl W. Schneider and Margaret M. Schneider - Application to subdivide Lot
5, Manson Hills (3.42 acres) into 4 residential lots. E. W. Schneider and Lloyd Bossland
attended the meeting.

The proposed lots are described as follows:

A. North 100 feet except the east 199 feet
B. South 100 feet of the north 200 feet; except the east 199 feet
C. South 120 feet of the north 320 feet
D. North 200 feet of the east 199 feet, all of Lot 5, except the south
38.40 feet thereof, Manson Hills.

Membrez moved, Soike seconded, that we recommend that the application be approved with
the stipulation that no dwelling be permitted on Parcel D until such time as it has
access to a public street.
