<br />-2- <br /> <br />File 64-242 - Minnesota Entertainment zoning from R", I & B-1 to B-3, for expansion <br />of the Rose Theatre at the N.E. corner of Snelling Avenue and County Road C. <br />Mr. Lebedoff m1d Mr. Green, owners, M~ Phillip Stern, attorney m1d Mr. Joe Glotter, <br />architect, proposed to enlarge the operation of the Rose Theatre to approximately 1,000 <br />spaces instead of approximately 750 which they now have. The property on which they <br />operate is in m1 unconforming use. They requested more land to be rezoned B=3 together <br />with the land now in an un conforming use. A great number of residents on the east of <br />the subject property objected to the granting of such a request because the operation <br />of this theatre ,creates too much noise, traffic in the area. and debris thrown on <br />County Road C and Pascal Avenue. There was also a question of access from Snelling <br />Avenue which had not been resolved. It was finally moved by AndersonD seconded by <br />Linebarger that we recommend the request be denied. Carried by a unanimous vote. <br /> <br />Automobile Agencies: <br /> <br />The memorandum prepared by Midwest Planning & Research9 Inc. dated September 4" 19639 <br />was discussed and with the exception of a few changes0 the consensus of opinion was that <br />~tbe;?eCOmmellded to the~ouncil for consideration and adoption. Mr. Dahlgren was <br />l~structed to make someml~r changes and prepare a new memo to submit to the Council. <br />Slgford moved~ Nelson secortded, that it be so ordered.
