<br />Regular Meeting = Roseville Planning Commission <br />Wednesday, November 3>> 1965 = 7:30 PoMo <br /> <br />Members present: Jim Nelson, RemsburgJ Linebarger, Anderson and Membrezo Also present: <br />Lo Odland, Trustee Grauel and Planner Dahlgreno <br /> <br />On motion by AndersonJ seconded by Linebarger the minutes of the meeting of October 6, <br />1965, were approved as submitted by a unanimous voteo <br /> <br />File 271-65 ~ Request by Ferdinand Bucher for a special use permit and approval of a <br />preliminary plat, property at Western Avenue and South Owasso Boulevardo <br /> <br />Mro Daubney, attorney representing Mro BucherJ submitted the preliminary <br />plat and quoted some figures of the gravel they propose to haul away from <br />the propertYD an estimte of approximately 200,000 cubic yards 0 <br /> <br />After considering the matter very thoroughly, Nelson moved, Remsburg <br />seconded that the special permit to haul gravel and the preliminary plat <br />approval be deniedo It was the consensus of opinion that the main <br />difficulty was the lack of information pertaining to the hauling of the <br />sand and gravel from the propertyo There was concern about the great <br />amount of material, estimated at 20Q,OOO cubic yards to be hauled away, <br />approximately 20,000 truck loads 0 This would create an unusual amount of <br />traffic causing wear and tear to the streets, noise and dust to the residents <br />along the travelled streetso It was felt that the property could be developed <br />with less material to be hauled away and that the developers could very well <br />come up with a more desirable pIano <br /> <br />File 296-65 <br /> <br />Special use permit requested by Dro Clarence Siegel, 2980 North Snelling Aveo <br /> <br />There being no one present at the meeting to give some information for the <br />reason of this request, Nelson moved, Anderson seconded, to lay the matter <br />over to the next regular meeting on December lsto Roll call, unanimous 0 <br /> <br />File 295-65 <br /> <br />Rezoning request from R=l to R~3 from Cleon Garley, property at the south= <br />east corner of Lexington Avenue and Judith Avenue 0 <br /> <br />Mro Garley proposed to construct an apartment building with 12 2=bedroom <br />units. requiring an area of land of 30.000 square feet 0 The subject property <br />has only 29,760 feet 0 <br /> <br />After due consideration Nelson moved, Anderson seconded, to recommend that <br />the request be deniedo Roll Call, unanimous 0 The Planning Commission felt <br />this request could very well be considered a "spot zoning" 0 <br /> <br />Fi Ie 298-65 <br /> <br />Request for a division of a lot by Austin To McDonough, location of <br />property south of County Road C-2D east of Oxford Streeto <br /> <br />If this request was grantedD the subject property may create problems in <br />the future development of other properties in the areao The subject <br />property has a frontage of 20608 feet on County Road "C" with a depth of <br />301059 feet, the request was to make 2 lots with a frontage of 103 feet <br />each on County Road C-2o The Planning Consultant recommended that the <br />block in which the subject property is located should have a street; <br />north-south in the center to develop the rear portions of these extremely <br />deep lotso The applicant was reluctant to dedicate 60 feet of this pro= <br />posed and indicated he would rather make 2 lots facing County Road C=2o <br />
