Special Meeting - Roseville Planning Commission
Monday, November 5, 1965 - 5g00 P.M,

Members presentg Linebarger, Anderson, Remsburg and Membrez. Also present L. Odland.

File 297-65 - Request by Fred Rahn, 1901 North Lexington Avenue for a rezoning from B-1
to B-2 of his property on Lexington and Autumn Avenue.

Mr. Rahn stated that he had signed a lease with someone to conduct a beauty
salon business not realizing he was violating the village ordinance. A
beauty parlor operation is not allowed to be conducted in a B-1 zoning.
It was the consensus of opinion that if the property was rezoned to B-2
use it would be conceivable that the existing structure could be converted
to any use permitted in the B-2 classification, therefore, it was concluded
that it would best to keep the existing zoning of B-1 as is.

It does appear, however, that the operation of a Beauty Salon would not
have adverse effect on the contiguous property, therefore, Anderson moved,
Remsburg seconded. that we recommend to amend the ordinance to include
Beauty Salon operation as a permitted use in a B-1 district. Roll Call.
unanimous,

Mr. Husnik, a builder appeared to request a aivision of a lot on North
Avon Street, This request had not been referred to the Planning Commission
by the Village Council, therefore. we were not in a position to consider the
matter. Mr. Husnik was told to appear before the Village Councilo

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted.

George Ao Membrez, Secretary
