Special Meeting Roseville Planning Commission
Mondayp April 18, 1966, at 5:00 P.M.

Members present: J. Nelson, L. Nelson, Remsburg, Carpenter, Anderson and Membrez.

Also present: Grauel, Trustee; Ernest Kluegel, Building Inspector and Dahlgren,
Planning Consultant

File 317~66 D. H. Overmyer Warehouse, 2500 North Walnut, variance to front yard
setback, Rear yard setback, floor area ratio and number of parking spaces.

Mr. Miller, manager and Mr. Larry Griffith, attorney, presented their plans for the
construction of two more buildings north of their existing buildings on Walnut Street.
The setback variances and the floor area ratio didn!t seem to be objectionable but
the parking spaces shown on their proposed plan for 41 cars were not acceptable. It
was suggested that they revise the parking plans and resubmit them at the next regular
meeting on May 4th. It was also pointed out that considerable thinking should be
given to the landscaping of the proposed site and the landscaping of the site already
in use, we would like to see a landscaping plan for all of their properties.

File 3l7e66 = Approval of parking variance in front of proposed building to be constructed
by Fruehauf Corporation on County Road C between Snelling and Fairview.

Mr. Tom Carter and Mr. Gene Parranto requested a 20 foot front yard setback instead of
40 feet for parking. It was pointed out that Glendenning and Bruce Motor Freight were
in violation of the setback and the reason might be the widening of County Road C
after their properties were improved. Mr. Kluegel was requested to look into this
matter before a decision is made on the Fruehauf request. It was the feeling that the
Fruehauf setback should not be less than the two truckirrg f~rms on each side of the
subject property. It was also suggested that if time was of the essence another special
meeting may be scheduled.

Mr. Dahlgren reported on the matter of upgrading the construction of apartment buildings
and he will complete his written recommendations for our next regular meeting on May 4th.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted

George A. Membrez, Secretary
