Roll Call unanimous.

Subject File 362-66 - Arvid Wendland, request for ordinance regarding clutter of
right~of-way .

Arvid Wendland, 1128 Soo Line Building, Minneapolis, said that upon investigation
the sign ordinance is adequate. However, he presented a petition signed by 25 of
the 27 service station operators requesting that the Village enforce the sign
ordinance. The secretary was instructed to write the Council a letter stating
the petitioner's request, and stating that the Village Traffic Committee should
check into this.

Subject File 367-67 - Arden Hills inquiry concerning zoning status along County
Road D.

The Planning Commission assured Mr. John A. Hollenhorst, Trustee, and Mr. Lawrence
BrodIe, Chairman of the Planning Commission from Arden Hills, that we have no
interest in spot or strip rezoning. Therefore, except for the parcels zoned
commercial at the intersections of Cleveland and County Road D, and Fairview and
County Road D, we felt the rest of the property would remain zoned residential.
The secretary was instructed to notify the Council of our feelings.

Subject File 366-66 - Northern States Power Company . Request for transmission lines
along the Northern Pacific and Minnesota Transfer Railway tracks.

Discussion was held with Rollie Comstock, Gary Welk, Ernie Dosher, Larry Welhelm
and Nick Dries of Northern States Power. They presented revised plans for the
area between Rice Street and Victoria. After considerable discussion it was agreed
that they would bring revised plans for the rest of the line to a special meeting
set for February 23, 1967.

Subject File 368~67 - Twin Tires, Inc. Request for zoning code classification of
tire recapping operation.

It was moved by Pope and seconded by Nelson that tire recapping operations be
considered a special use in the 1-2 District. Roll Call unanimous.

Subject File 361-66 - George Guligowski, sign variance as to front yard setback
and sideyard setback.

It was moved by Pope and seconded by Carpenter that we lay this over to our March
meeting. Roll Call, unanimous.

Subject File 357-66 - Vadnais Construction request for special use permit and
variance to rear yard setback.

It was moved by Nelson and seconded by Membrez that we recommend approval of the
20' rear yard setback as drawn and that the special use permit be issued subject
to further approval of the planned residentail unit development and further review
of the building design and materials to be used. Roll Call, unanimous.
